I apologize for yet another delay in posting. I've been caught up in the next 3D sketchup model and admittedly I can bury myself in these things very deeply.
This post is a break from what I thought would be the blog format of looking at the past models, reviewing them and highlighting anything learned since then. Instead, we're skipping around in the listing taking a brief and informal look at the most recent model, East High Street, Hamilton Ohio. The reason for the switch, demand from others, which goes to show what could happen if you just ask me.
First off, a reference of where this place is, like always.
Now, here is what I was able to come up with for the 3D Model

As stated in previous entries, the models are only "what if" scenarios and also my own efforts of improving the SketchUp skills. Works like this should serve as a platform for thought, discussion, imagination and more. If thinking of East High doesn't fit, think about other places similar to it, or places you'd think designs similar to this would work.
With that out of the way, back to East High Street.
A few more overall shots

After some more image capturing, I decided to get in even closer to the ground and buildings since this is supposed to be a demo of the model.

The Walgreens was the very first building of the model and a primary reason East High was chosen for the 3D model proposal treatment |
The next shots show one of the key areas of the model, titled "commerce lane".

Note the "Welcome". Thinking about it, perhaps this image should have been one of the first close ups. Maybe next time. |
